Robert Ladlow Seafood
Scholarship Program
Program Overview
The Robert Ladlow Seafood Scholarship Program has been established to honour the late Robert Ladlow’s contribution to the Northern Territory (NT) seafood industry and to continue his legacy of supporting professional growth and excellence in the sector.
The program provides funding to support Territorians working in the NT seafood industry in furthering their education, training, and qualifications, thereby strengthening the industry's workforce capability and promoting its long-term sustainability.
The scholarship is administered by the Industry Skills Advisory Council NT (ISACNT) in partnership with the NT Seafood Council and the Ladlow family.
Details
The Robert Ladlow Seafood Scholarship is offered biennially, in alignment with the Northern Territory Seafood Industry Awards, set to begin in 2027. The first scholarship will be awarded in 2026, and the following in 2027 on a biennial basis.
Each scholarship provides up to $10,000 on a case-by-case basis, maximum in funding to support training and development activities related to:
1. Skill Sets Training
2. Qualifications
3. Licences or Tickets
Funding will be paid in accordance with the approved training requirements of the successful applicant. ISACNT will pay 90% upfront, and the participant will pay the remaining 10%. Upon completion of the training, ISACNT will reimburse the participant 10%. The funding may be applied to travel and other associated costs that will enable the applicant to successfully complete their training, as detailed in the applicant's application. The panel will review the maximum funding limit annually.

To ensure the scholarship supports individuals genuinely committed to the NT seafood industry, applicants must meet the following criteria:
