Industry Skills Advisory Council NT (ISACNT) is an independent not-for-profit organisation that provides advice to and gathers intelligence on training package development, workforce development, skills shortages and workforce solutions in the Northern Territory.
Our Purpose
To contribute to increasing the capability and capacity of the workforce in the Northern Territory through provision of workforce intelligence and advice.
We do this through:
Building relationships with industry associations, businesses, schools, registered training organisations, and government in the Northern Territory, including in regional and remote
Engaging with registered training organisations to inform the best qualifications and training options to meet employer and employee requirements
Collaborating with national stakeholders, including Jobs & Skills Australia (JSA) and Jobs and Skills Councils (JSCs)
Contributing to the development of national qualifications to maintain relevance to employers throughout the Northern Territory
Researching industry workforce trends to inform on future workforce planning
Participating in school programs which promote Vocational, Education and Training opportunities
Gathering industry intelligence, through engagements to support the Northern Territory Skilled Occupation Priority List (NTSOPL)
Promoting apprenticeships and traineeships to Northern Territory employers
Identifying opportunities to develop industry workforce strategies
