Northern Territory Government Grants (GrantsNT)
GrantsNT provides grants to support individuals, community groups, non-profits, and businesses in the Northern Territory to deliver projects and services aligned with government priorities and benefitting the NT community.
Skills NT Grant | business.gov.au
The Skills NT grant is focused on supporting VET programs that enhance students' skills and education required for employment, through skilling delivery and skilling support funds.
The Northern Territory Government (NTG) is offering Fee-Free TAFE courses for residents in the NT to obtain a fully accredited qualification or undertake a short course at no cost. The NTG also subsidises the cost of Australian apprenticeships or traineeships through its user choice funding.
Free Gap Training Placements for Overseas Qualified Electricians
The Northern Territory Government (NTG) is providing funding for free gap training placements for onshore, overseas-qualified electricians in the NT.
The Territory Workforce Program, administered by the Northern Territory Government, funds industry-driven projects to build a skilled workforce and maximise job opportunities for Territorians.
Airport Development Group Community Grant
Airport Development Group is committed to supporting grassroots initiatives that enhance the liveability of communities across the Northern Territory. Funding can support education and training.
Federal Government’s Grants and Funding Opportunities:
Australian Apprentice Training Support
Australian Apprentices may be eligible for financial assistance from the Australian Government to help with the costs of undertaking an apprenticeship.
Australian Apprenticeship Support Loans
To support Australian Apprentices to meet everyday costs while they undertake their training, eligible apprentices will be able to apply for Australian Apprenticeship Support Loans. These loans provide up to $25,983 (for 2025-26) in total and are paid monthly in arrears.
Disability Australian Apprentice Wage Support
This funding supports employers of Australian Apprentices with disabilities, helping apprentices access training and employment opportunities.
Rural Health Workforce Support Activity
The Rural Health Workforce Support Activity (RHWSA) program aims to meet current and future regional, rural and remote community health workforce needs through workforce planning.
2026-2029 Indigenous Employment Initiative
The purpose of the Indigenous Employment Initiative is to create entry-level employment opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to support the provision of culturally safe, trauma-aware, and healing-informed aged care for older Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through a suitably skilled workforce.
ECEC Workforce Professional Development and Paid Practicum
This grant is for the Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) workforce to assist with educator retention and upskilling. The grant can be used to pay for salaries while educators undertake training or complete the practical component of the ECEC degrees.
The Prac Payment – Vocational Education and Training (VET) grant will assist eligible students to manage the costs associated with undertaking a mandatory practicum placement as part of a Diploma of Nursing qualification.
This grant opportunity provides funding for businesses to deliver skills development to the existing industrial workforce on new equipment or processes that contribute to reducing scope 1 emissions.
Future Made in Australia Innovation Fund
The Future Made in Australia Innovation Fund will provide up to $1.5 billion in grant funding to support pre-commercial innovation, demonstration and deployment of renewable energy and low-emission technologies. Funding can be used to improve skills and workforce participation associated with the technologies.

The Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme Skills Development Program provides funding to support Businesses in providing training for workers from the Pacific and Timor-Leste while they are working in Australia.
