Business Grants and Funding

Northern Territory Government grants and financial incentives for business owners.

 

Northern Territory Government Grants  (GrantsNT)

GrantsNT provides grants to support individuals, community groups, non-profits, and businesses in the Northern Territory to deliver projects and services that align with government priorities and benefit the NT community.


Skills NT Grant

The Skills NT grant is focused on supporting VET programs that enhance students' skills and education required for employment, through skilling delivery and skilling support funds.


NT Government Funded Courses

The Northern Territory Government (NTG) is providing Fee-Free TAFE courses for individuals in the NT to pursue a fully accredited qualification or a short course without any cost. The NTG also subsidises the cost of an Australian apprenticeship or traineeship through its User Choice Funding.


Free Gap Training Placements For Overseas Qualified Electricians

The Northern Territory Government (NTG) is providing funding for free gap training placements for onshore, overseas-qualified electricians in the NT

Australian Apprentice Training Support  


Australian Apprentices may be eligible for financial assistance from the Australian Government to help with the costs of undertaking an apprenticeship. 


Rural Health Workforce Support Activity 


The Rural Health Workforce Support Activity (RHWSA) program aims to meet current and future regional, rural and remote community health workforce needs through workforce planning. 


2026-2029 Indigenous Employment Initiative 


The purpose of the Indigenous Employment Initiative is to create entry level employment opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who will support the provision of culturally safe, trauma aware, and healing informed aged care to older Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through a suitably skilled workforce.   


ECEC Workforce Professional Development and Paid Practicum 


The grants to the Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) workforce to assist with educator retention and upskilling. The grants can be used to pay for salaries while educators undertake training or complete the practical component of the ECEC degrees. 


Nursing Prac Payment  


The Prac Payment – Vocational Education and Training (VET) grant will assist eligible students to manage the costs associated with undertaking a mandatory practicum placement as part of a Diploma of Nursing qualification.

Hospitality NT's Upskilling and Development Fund is a grant program designed to support the training and development of individuals working in the Northern Territory's hospitality industry, aiming to address skills shortages and enhance the capabilities of the hospitality workforce by providing financial assistance for accredited training courses.


Skills Development Program | PALM scheme 


The Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme Skills Development Program provides funding to support Businesses in providing training for workers from the Pacific and Timor-Leste while they are working in Australia.
