She has a background in Retail Electricity (Jacana Energy), Telecommunications (Optus), and ICT (IBM) in sales, customer service and management roles. She is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors over a decade, and a Life Member and Fellow of the Institute of Managers and Leaders where she was Chair until 2025. Marie-Louise currently (at Dec 2025) sits on the Boards of Carpentaria Disability Services, the Order of Australia Association, NT Branch and is President of the Tracy Village Social & Sports Club. 

She is passionate about making a meaningful contribution by utilising her high-level governance skills to deliver quality outcomes. For her service through other organisations, Marie-Louise was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia in 2021.
