Workplace environments are changing. With automation and the loss of many vocations, we can no longer assume a single career will set you up for life.

This means we need to rethink our approach to education and training for future jobs.

Industry Skills Advisory Council NT (ISACNT) supports this by:

  • Liaising with Northern Territory businesses to source up to the minute data on the skills most in need
  • Promoting Vocational Education and Training (VET) to employers, employees, parents and school leavers to encourage participation
  • Ensuring training package qualifications meet the needs of industry in the Northern Territory
  • Meeting with schools to encourage skills based learning, including clusters of work and employability skills
  • Delivering industry information to government, Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and schools to support Vocational Education and Training (VET)
  • Providing information on funding options to better enable companies across the Northern Territory to invest in and upskill their employees
  • Sharing case studies and best practice examples on workforce development to Northern Territory businesses
