Federal Government's Grants and Funding Opportunities:


Australian Apprentice Training Support Payment
Australian Apprentices may be eligible for financial assistance from the Australian Government to help with the costs of undertaking an apprenticeship.

Skills and Training Incentive
The Skills and Training Incentive provides up to $2,200 to jointly funded training to help build skills to remain in the workforce longer. The Skills and Training Incentive is linked to the Skills Checkpoint Program. People over 40 years of age, recently unemployed (or have been within the past 12 months), and who have completed a Skills checkpoint assessment that identifies training opportunities are eligible to apply.

Australian Apprenticeship Incentives System

Employers of Australian Apprentices may be eligible for financial support from the Australian Government to help offset the cost of taking on an apprentice.

Professional Development and Paid Practicum Subsidy Program

The Professional Development and Paid Practicum Subsidy Program seeks to support the skills and training of early childhood education and care (ECEC) educators by expanding access to quality professional development.

Close Date: 10 May 2024.


Powering the Regions Fund

This grant helps with skills development for existing industrial workforce in new equipment or processes that contribute to the reduction of emissions.

New Jobs Program Trial

This grant is open to community organisations and businesses to develop local approaches to jobs enabling participants to move off income support and undertake employment.

Support Plantations

This grant is designed to support the retention and/or creation of regional jobs in the plantation/forestry industry and support regional communities.
