The Northern Territory’s Labour Shortage: What You Can do to Help.

As we continue to respond to challenges posed by the ongoing health crisis, employers can have their voices heard by contributing to the annual survey of “hard to fill jobs”.

This is your chance to highlight challenges you face with recruitment and developing a skilled workforce.

What is the Northern Territory Skilled Occupation Priority List (NTSOPL)?
The Northern Territory Skilled Occupation Priority List is produced by the NT Government every year. It identifies jobs in high demand or that are critical to the economy and specific industry sectors.

ISACNT consults with businesses and industry bodies to gather evidence about jobs that are hard to fill and skills in demand. With this evidence ISACNT makes recommendations to the NT Government to inform the NTSOPL.

What’s In It for Me?
The recommendations may influence funding opportunities for training programs, skilled migration purposes, and increase the focus on emerging skills needs.

Yours will be one of many voices. However, the more voices heard, the more impactful the recommendation.

Whether your challenges are short term, long term, or you have no challenges, we want to hear from you!
