Industry showing support for Darwin Aviation Skills Centre

Northern Territory industry and government stakeholders across the civil aviation, aerospace, and space sectors, attended the launch of the Northern Territory Aviation Academy Report, hosted by Industry Skills Advisory Council NT (ISACNT) and Deloitte in partnership with Northern Territory Airports, at the exquisitely appointed Catalina Lounge, Darwin International Airport on Wednesday evening.

The report, prepared and developed by Industry Skills Advisory Council NT (ISACNT) and Deloitte, presents findings surrounding potential in establishing the industry-lead Darwin Aviation Skills Centre (DASC). The centre will meet industry demands for skilling, ultimately enhancing workforce development and supporting economic growth in the NT. An outstanding level of industry support was received during the event.

ISACNT and Deloitte with support from the Department of Trade Business and Innovation NT, would like to thank all who attended having invested interest and support for this much-needed industry initiative.

A special thank you to industry partners with whom have provided strong drive, input, and support into this project; Deloitte, Cairns Aviation Skills Centre and Aviation Australia, NT Airports, Care Flight, Pennant, RDA Hunter, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, The Department of Trade, Business and Innovation NT and The Department of Education NT.

An industry round table discussion was held the following day to establish an industry working group surrounding the development of the DASC.

An invitation is extended to industry, for those interested in joining the DASC Industry Working Group. Please contact Stephen Goodall Team Leader, Industry Engagement, Industry Skills Advisory Council NT.
