Animal Care and Management Consultations

Skills Impact are hosting a number of national workshops for the Animal Care and Management Industry. These workshops will focus on three key projects:

Horse Education

This project is relevant to Horse Educators, Trainers/ and Stable hands.
This project will identify gaps in the current qualifications and ensure that we are fostering a safe environment for our learners whilst maintaining the highest level of animal welfare standards for horses being educated.

This workshop is being hosted at the *ISACNT office on Thursday, 7th February 2019, 10am12pm. To register your attendance, please click here.

Animal Incident Management

This project is relevant to Animal Rescue Operators, Emergency Response Operators, Firefighters, Veterinary Nurses, Farmers, and Transporters.

A focus of this project will be to develop training products that help learners be properly trained in how to safely respond to incidents in order to help minimise the risk of injury to people involved, to improve the welfare outcomes for the animals, and help minimise any losses. This also includes developing and reviewing units around animal first aid.

This workshop is being hosted at the *ISACNT office on Thursday, 7th February 2019, 1pm3pm. To register your attendance, please click here.

Animal Technology

This project is relevant to Animal Technicians, Laboratory Animal Technicians, Technical Officers, and Field Technicians.

This project will work to update the qualifications to reflect current industry practices, regulatory requirements and codes of practice, to support quality training and ethical conduct for people whose work involves the use of animals scientific practice.

This consultation is being hosted by webinar on Monday, 25th February 2019, 12pm2pm (ACST). To register your attendance, please click here.
